Where to start
Three starting points, depending on where you are.
Students and graduates
- Join a community before you need a job, so your first ask is not a cold ask.
- Ask for a 20 minute chat about someone's day-to-day, not for a referral.
- Build one visible artefact: a project, a talk, a write-up you can point to.
Career changers
- Translate your existing work into technology language: delivery, stakeholders, data, risk.
- Find two people who made the same move and copy their sequence.
- Target teams that value your prior domain instead of starting from zero.
Mid-career and senior
- Move from being known for output to being known for judgement.
- Sponsor someone earlier in their career and say their name in rooms they are not in.
- Share opportunities you cannot take yourself, so the network keeps circulating.

How do I start building a tech network in Ireland?
Pick a small number of recurring rooms rather than a long list of one-off events. Our monthly session plus the ongoing WhatsApp community means the same people see your progress month after month.
Is this only for developers?
No. The community spans engineering, data, product, design, cybersecurity, QA, delivery, marketing and operations, plus students and career changers.
Is there a free way to join?
Yes. Community membership is free and includes the general WhatsApp group and community updates. Paid tiers add the full community, the Opportunity Exchange and member events.
